Physical Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assess patients’ functional abilities, mobility, muscle strength, gait, and range of motion to create tailored treatment plans.

• Provide physical therapy services as per the physician's treatment plan and in compliance with California’s Physical Therapy Practice Act.

• Instruct patients and their families or caregivers on therapeutic exercises, usage of equipment, and recovery objectives.

• Work in conjunction with physicians and the care team—reporting any changes in patient condition and participating in case discussions.

• Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants and, when physical therapy is the only skilled service provided, supervise Home Health Aide care on a bi-weekly basis.

• Handle documentation including clinical progress reports and discharge planning.

• Determine the need for additional home health services and facilitate referrals as needed.

• Carry out other responsibilities as necessary for patient care.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Valid California Physical Therapy license.

• At least 2 years of experience in physical therapy; experience in home health is advantageous.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients and their families.

• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
