Physical Therapist Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Provide hands-on physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, adhering to each patient's individualized care plan.

• Assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and the utilization of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetics.

• Implement physical modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage to alleviate pain and enhance function.

• Track patient progress and relay any changes to the Physical Therapist and the care team.

• Accurately document care in a timely manner and engage in team meetings and continuous training.

• Execute additional responsibilities as needed for patient services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree from an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.

• Current PTA license issued by the Physical Therapy Board of California.

• Up-to-date CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Valid driver's license, a reliable insured vehicle, and a willingness to travel to patient homes.
