This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +1 more state.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-volume ETL and document-processing workflows.
• Ingest, transform, validate, and reconcile millions of records and documents on an annual basis.
• Work with various data sources, including JSON, XML, fixed-width, delimited, mainframe, print-stream, and API-based formats.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams.
• Write object-oriented, pragmatic PHP applications and utilize PDFLib for high-volume transaction printing workflows.
• Implement custom font management, encoding, embedding, and text rendering in PDF documents.
• Utilize tools such as PDFLib, Quadient, Crawford Technologies, and similar PDF applications.
• Integrate with AWS SDK and both third-party and internal APIs and services.
• Develop and support integrations with BCC Mail Manager for address standardization, presort generation, NCOA updates, and manifest creation.
• Ensure compliance with USPS regulations and enhance mail delivery efficiency.
• Produce high-quality, readable, maintainable code, and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Translate client requirements and designs into functional applications.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
• 4–6 years of experience in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack development.
• Background in the statement processing industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in PDF workflows and solutions, including Crawford Technologies, PDFLib, Quadient, Adobe, iText, or similar tools.
• Experience in the print industry, particularly with print stream conversion and transformation (PDF, AFP, PostScript, PCL, etc.).
• Familiarity with AWS services, including S3, EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, and AWS SDK.
• Competence in parsing complex data formats such as JSON, XML, delimited, fixed-width, and mainframe formats.
• Experience in API development and testing, including RESTful and SOAP.
• Strong technical aptitude and a passion for coding.
