This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Report to the Senior Managing Director, Philanthropy Team Lead

• Identify, nurture, and solicit high-net-worth individuals for UNICEF USA’s major donor initiative

• Oversee a portfolio of 100–150 donors and prospects, each with an average annual giving capacity of $25K or more

• Allocate approximately 50% of time to managing a one-to-many donor portfolio and 50% to qualifying new leads

• Create and implement strategies for key donors and prospects

• Secure five-figure, six-figure, multi-year, and blended contributions

• Collaborate with the Philanthropy Insight team regarding portfolio management

• Achieve individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Compose and edit donor correspondence, including letters, emails, funding proposals, and reports

• Ensure accurate maintenance of donor outreach and solicitation records in the donor database

• Work alongside UNICEF USA business units that support the major giving program, including special events, philanthropy coordination, stewardship, global programs, and communications

• Complete special projects and other related responsibilities as assigned


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree

• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience

• Proven history of securing five- and six-figure donations

• Self-driven professional with a successful track record in fundraising

• Exceptional written and verbal interpersonal communication skills

• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Solid experience with fundraising databases

• Keen attention to detail and adaptability in high-pressure environments

• Willingness to assist with all necessary tasks to ensure the success of a small regional team

• Capability to effectively lead both internal and external meetings

• Strong work ethic, confidence, initiative, and enthusiasm as a collaborative team member

• Deep commitment to international humanitarian relief and development, as well as UNICEF USA’s mission

• Availability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally

• Demonstrated alignment with UNICEF USA Core Values: Trust, Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Teamwork, and Service
