This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a designated group of donors (with cumulative annual contributions of $5,000 or more), ensuring high retention rates, increased donations, and enhanced engagement.
• Build, nurture, and expand relationships with around 90–150 emerging, major, and signature donors, which includes individuals, family foundations, and organizations.
• Create and execute tailored engagement strategies that align the passions of donors with the mission and priorities of MAP International.
• Collect and disseminate accurate, persuasive proposals along with impact stories and data that illustrate how donations are utilized and the difference they create both locally and globally.
• Represent MAP at select high-profile donor engagements, events, and gatherings to strengthen ties with emerging, major, and signature donors.
• Enhance prospecting initiatives to identify and research new high-capacity individuals, family foundations, and organizations, developing a strong pipeline through strategic outreach and initial cultivation activities.
• Maintain regular communication with portfolio donors via phone, email, and mail to nurture their contributions, relay impact, invite them to events, and share urgent needs.
• Develop relationships with donors to grasp their interests while effectively conveying MAP’s mission and ongoing initiatives.
• Conduct regular in-person visits and virtual meetings with donors and partners, ensuring prompt follow-up and meaningful connections.
• Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate messaging, donor materials, and stewardship efforts to ensure consistency and excellence.
• Manage MAP’s CRM system (Agilon ONE), documenting donor interactions and communications to aid in reporting.
• Adhere to moves management plans for each donor consistently and timely to ensure retention and growth.
• Actively engage as a member of the Philanthropy team within Global Giving (Philanthropy, Direct Response, Marketing).
• Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience that necessitates strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Fundamental understanding of international relief, global health, or nonprofit operations.
• Moderate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Previous experience with donor management systems (Agilon, Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or similar) is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of successful fundraising experience with individuals, foundations, churches, or organizations.
• Demonstrated history of meeting and surpassing fundraising goals.
• Experience in the international NGO or relief sector is preferred.
• Ability to qualify donors from a broader pool of organizational contributors meeting rising, major, and signature gift criteria.
• Capability to establish reasonable financial objectives based on donor capacity and historical giving.
• Potential to retain and upgrade donors.
• Ability to solicit donations across various giving levels: Rising: $5,000–$9,999 Major: $10,000–$99,999 Signature: $100,000+
• Skill in developing effective investment opportunity proposals.
• Ability to deliver accurate and compelling impact reports to donors.
• Competence in managing processes, deadlines, and budgets while adhering to organizational policies.
• Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused attitude.
• Strong team orientation aligned with organizational mission, goals, and values.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient relationship-building skills within a relationship-centered fundraising model.
