Pharmacy Technician Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of 15–20 pharmacy technicians dedicated to prescription data entry, order management, and patient outreach.

• Provide daily supervision of technician workflows, ensuring precision, compliance, and timely handling of both inbound and outbound communications.

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports and lead technicians to establish expectations, offer feedback, and foster professional growth.

• Deliver advanced coaching and performance management, including corrective measures and escalation of persistent issues.

• Collaborate with other supervisors to align team objectives, exchange best practices, and guarantee uniform execution across business units.

• Assist in project initiatives by contributing to goal-setting, tracking progress, and presenting updates to the team and leadership.

• Partner across functions with IT, operations, and other departments to implement system enhancements and process optimizations.

• Facilitate the onboarding and training of new technicians, ensuring their preparedness for production and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Monitor team metrics and performance indicators, leveraging data to identify trends and promote continuous improvement.

• Coordinate and oversee daily activities of operations or business staff.

• Administer and enforce policies and procedures.

• Ensure that employees adhere to established guidelines.

• Engage with subordinates, customers, and peer groups across various management levels.

• Resolve basic issues and exchange information with relevant stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Lead Pharmacy Technician or in a Pharmacy Supervisor or similar leadership role, preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.

• Certified Pharmacy Technician with Active/Clear registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy and in the home state (if located outside of Ohio).

• Familiarity with Brightree, PioneerRx, and/or GuardianRx pharmacy management systems preferred but not mandatory.

• Previous experience in training/coaching team members in various areas of pharmacy operations preferred.

• A dedicated, quiet, private, and distraction-free remote work environment.
