Pharmacy Technician Liaison, Advanced Therapeutics Liaison, Per Diem

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Conduct benefit investigations, which include running test claims, submitting prior authorizations, documenting outcomes in the patient's electronic medical record, and performing patient outreach and follow-up calls.

• Complete benefit investigations as requested by the Advanced Therapeutics PharmD and APP team.

• Submit prior authorizations to insurers both online and via telephone; appeal decisions and engage in follow-up inquiries.

• Provide information on manufacturer patient savings opportunities to both providers and patients.

• Communicate with patients regarding insurance decisions, rejections, and information about prescription filling.

• Maintain an ongoing inventory of necessary medications from internal pharmacies and communicate daily with the clinic team.

• Coordinate prescription delivery with patients and the Home Delivery pharmacy, as well as manage prescriptions for the home delivery team.

• Ensure a tidy work environment and assist in monitoring quality indicators.

• Identify issues and opportunities for improvement; support the manager with problem-solving initiatives and operational enhancements.

• Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement activities and team efforts.

• Operate under the direct supervision of the operations manager.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Current license from the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.

• National certification such as PTCB or ExCPT; if not nationally certified, certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

• Strong proficiency in mathematics.

• Familiarity with computer usage and competency in relevant software.

• Ability to accurately, efficiently, and reliably follow oral and written instructions.

• Capability to work in a hybrid or remote setting.

• A positive work ethic and professional demeanor to foster teamwork.
