Centralized Refill Support Pharmacy Technician, CPhT Certification Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Oversee electronic medication refill requests in support of St. Elizabeth Physicians’ offices.

• Process medication refills in accordance with established protocols.

• Deliver customer service to patients effectively.

• Coordinate communication with providers and office personnel.

• Assist with medication prior authorization processes.

• Provide guidance to patients and healthcare teams on medication assistance options.

• Interact via EMR or verbally with physicians, clinicians, pharmacists, and staff regarding medication-related concerns.

• Ensure that patient encounter information is complete, accurate, and adheres to workflow protocols.

• Confirm the completion of medication refills and prior authorization requests.

• Guarantee the accurate and prompt distribution of other patient-related requests.

• Employ customer service principles to engage calmly and pleasantly with patients.

• Adhere to HIPAA regulations.

• Execute other assigned tasks in a timely, thorough, and precise manner.


⛳️ Requirements

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the PTCB or NHA examination.

• Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.

• Possession of a High School Diploma or GED.

• PTCB or NHA certification is required.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a pharmacy environment is necessary.

• Ability to manage and prioritize various tasks effectively.

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the capacity to learn additional computer skills.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Professional interaction capabilities with doctors, hospital administration, management, SEP employees, and the public.

• Familiarity with current practice management and electronic medical record systems (training will be provided).

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Customer service skills that reflect a patient-centered approach.

• Understanding of pharmacy calculations and medical terminology.

• Ability to thrive in a team-based decision-making environment.

• Capacity to work independently, achieving effective outcomes and on-time performance.

• Experience in planning and coordinating multi-disciplinary communication strategies, strategic initiatives, and events.

• Must respond to and follow through on requests promptly.

• Attention to detail and careful execution of tasks are essential.

• Must utilize resources efficiently.
