Pharmacy Technician – Call Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Deliver care for patients, providers, and customers.

• Utilize the pharmacy computer system to enhance patient care.

• Engage in care activities for patients, providers, and customers that do not necessitate pharmacist expertise.

• Prepare and label medications for distribution.

• Retrieve, assess, and manage the inventory of medications and pharmacy supplies.

• Maintain accurate pharmacy records.

• Execute housekeeping tasks in accordance with hospital and accreditation standards.

• Assist in onboarding and training new pharmacy staff.

• Adhere to job-specific responsibilities and organizational policies and procedures.

• Complete orientation competencies and skills specific to the department as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) (Mandatory).

• Certified Pharmacy Technician within 2 years through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB or NHA).

• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee, Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Intern with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy.

• Proficiency in computer use.

• Understanding of the healthcare regulatory landscape.

• Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology.

• Strong teamwork abilities.

• Capability to provide care to patients, providers, and customers.

• Competence in using the pharmacy computer system.

• Skill in preparing and labeling medications for distribution.

• Ability to retrieve, evaluate, and manage medication and supply inventory.

• Proficiency in maintaining pharmacy records.

• Capacity to perform housekeeping tasks in line with hospital and accreditation policies.
