Pharmacy Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct outbound calls to eligible patients to enroll them with Shields Partner Pharmacy.

• Inform patients about the services provided by the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program.

• Safeguard confidential patient information.

• Articulate the advantages of the Shields Partner Pharmacy program during phone conversations.

• Access and review patients' electronic medical records (EMR) and chart notes prior to making calls.

• Recognize medications that require special handling or storage, including hazardous and refrigerated items.

• Determine necessary supplies for specific medications, such as sharps containers, needles/syringes, alcohol swabs, and band-aids.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Texas Pharmacy Technician License.

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB/ExCPT); CPhT is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician.

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and technical skills.

• A mindset centered on empathy, integrity, and teamwork.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Capable of navigating the internet and web-based platforms.

• Data entry and computer proficiency will be assessed through a pre-employment evaluation.
