This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Directly report to the Area Business Lead.
• Collaborate with colleagues from Medical, Market Access, and Patient Support in accordance with relevant guidelines.
• Act as the main point of contact for healthcare provider clients.
• Deliver complex on-label information sourced from approved content.
• Conduct proactive outreach to HCPs regarding product access, on-label information, and established patient care protocols.
• Engage customers using virtual and digital tools, referring them to other team members as necessary.
• Organize and facilitate speaker programs.
• Coordinate local provider groups to discuss experiences and outcomes.
• Ensure customer inquiries are addressed while gathering feedback on the quality of engagement.
• Work in compliance with the ecosystem team to refine targeting and call point strategies.
• Leverage customer insights to shape local strategy and business objectives.
• Share opportunities, feedback, and market insights with the Area Business Lead.
• Analyze territory data, competitive information, business reports, sales figures, and promotional budgets.
• Set near-term priorities for territory business planning.
• Provide education to office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Utilize approved promotional materials and technical references effectively.
• Foster relationships with office and practice personnel.
• Conduct balanced office calls and sales presentations to assist HCPs in improving patient outcomes.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• Must have at least one of the following experiences: 2+ years in pharmaceutical or medical device sales; lesser experience may be considered for those who successfully complete the Otsuka ReadyNow program.
• 3+ years of business-to-business (B2B) or equivalent outside sales experience in regulated, clinical, or customer engagement settings.
• 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, RN, or similar) with proven responsibilities in patient-facing roles, medical education, or therapy-focused duties.
• Willingness to travel is essential.
• Must live within a 50-mile commuting distance from Sacramento, CA.
• Daily field travel by car is required.
• Knowledge of CNS is highly desirable.
• Capacity to articulate complex clinical information, influence stakeholders, and convert scientific data into clear, actionable value propositions.
• Dedication to ethical business practices and a strong understanding of regulatory standards.
• Ability to carry out business activities in compliance with company policies and guidelines.
• Proficient in assimilating and conveying complex clinical and product information.
