This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Perform proactive outreach to healthcare professionals regarding product accessibility, on-label details, and established patient care protocols.
• Interact with customers utilizing virtual and digital tools, directing them to other team members as necessary.
• Organize speaker programs and local provider group activities.
• Ensure that customer inquiries are addressed and seek feedback on engagement.
• Work in collaboration with the ecosystem team to refine targeting strategies and call-point plans.
• Leverage customer insights to shape local strategies and business objectives.
• Communicate opportunities, feedback, and insights from the local market to the Area Business Lead.
• Evaluate territory dynamics, competitive intelligence, business reports, sales figures, and promotional budgets.
• Provide education to office staff regarding payer regulations and reimbursement practices.
• Employ approved promotional materials and technical references effectively.
• Address objections and influence prescribing habits during office visits.
• Establish connections with professional organizations and key opinion leaders.
• Foster relationships with office and practice personnel.
• Conduct balanced office calls and sales presentations aimed at enhancing patient outcomes for healthcare providers.
• Act as the primary contact for healthcare provider customers, delivering approved and on-label product information.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• A minimum of one qualifying experience path: 2+ years in pharmaceutical or medical device sales; 3+ years in B2B or equivalent outside sales experience in regulated, clinical, or customer engagement environments; or 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience with patient-facing, medical education, or therapy-related responsibilities.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered if they successfully complete the Otsuka ReadyNow program.
• Knowledge of CNS is highly valued.
• Proficient in communicating complex clinical information and translating scientific data into clear, actionable value propositions.
• Strong understanding of ethical business practices and regulatory requirements.
• Capable of conducting business activities in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
• Ability to assimilate and convey intricate clinical and product information effectively.
• Must reside within a 50-mile commuting distance from Ventura, CA.
• Travel is required.
• Daily field travel by car is mandatory.
