Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Assist trial attorneys throughout the personal injury litigation journey.

• Oversee personal injury cases from the litigation phase to resolution, encompassing trial, settlement, and escrow processes.

• Draft, prepare, and submit pleadings, motions, as well as discovery requests and responses.

• Organize case files, litigation calendars, and important deadlines, including statutes of limitations.

• Analyze medical records and billing information.

• Handle medical liens and negotiate reductions on those liens.

• Coordinate depositions, mediations, settlements, and associated case documentation.

• Assist with trial preparation, which includes preparing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and managing courtroom logistics.

• Maintain professional communication with clients, courts, medical professionals, and opposing counsel.

• Ensure adherence to Virginia court rules, civil procedures, and electronic filing requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation.

• Experience in General District Court and Circuit Court is essential.

• Strong understanding of Virginia court rules, civil procedures, and electronic filing systems.

• Demonstrated capability to manage caseloads with precision and organization.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in drafting legal documents, maintaining litigation files, and negotiating or resolving medical liens.

• Familiarity with case management systems; SmartAdvocate is preferred.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and effectively collaborate with attorneys and team members in a remote setting.

• Experience with Virginia personal injury litigation is a plus.

• Willingness to work full-time from Monday to Friday.
