Personal Care Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary point of contact for patients throughout their medication experience.

• Assist patients with reimbursement processes, copay management, pharmacy coordination, and coverage support.

• Engage with patients to collect information and educate them about program services.

• Oversee the coordination of prescription coverage and renewals with pharmacies, insurance providers, and other stakeholders.

• Work in partnership with Field Case Managers and the wider care network.

• Tailor services to accommodate various clinic and pharmacy models while connecting with preferred pharmacy teams.

• Anticipate potential challenges, address issues, and offer customized patient support.

• Handle adverse event reporting and undertake additional program or ad hoc responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bilingualism (English/French) is advantageous (mandatory for the province of Quebec).

• Previous experience in a customer service environment.

• Outstanding customer service abilities and telephone etiquette.

• Detail-oriented and results-driven, with strong analytical and organizational capabilities.

• Excellent time management skills and a strong sense of urgency.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and work independently in a remote home office setting.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English and French (for Quebec/New Brunswick).

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changes and uncertainties.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with using technology.

• Dedication to continuous improvement and compliance with program standards.

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmacy support, prior authorization processing, insurance verification, or healthcare administrative roles is required.

• Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) or relevant compliance training is required.

• An Associate's degree in healthcare administration, life sciences, pharmacy technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Experience in reimbursement, call center/pharmaceutical sector, health insurance, or clinical support is a plus.

• Familiarity with medical information, CRM systems (Salesforce), and pharmacy operations is preferred.
