Persian VRI/OPI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during a call.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts. Training will be provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, ensuring no additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate communication between clients and those with Limited English Proficiency by providing precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Report to and communicate with your team leader.

• Follow dress code standards for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Persian."

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience in a recognized interpretation company is advantageous, though not essential.

• Good understanding of medical terminology is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications relevant to the healthcare industry are advantageous (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills are required.
