People Partner Director – Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to Engineering leadership regarding People Strategy and HR-related issues.

• Formulate and execute People strategies that align with business objectives and enhance organizational effectiveness.

• Analyze talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention metrics.

• Establish succession planning to recognize and nurture high-potential employees for future leadership positions.

• Spearhead organizational change initiatives while promoting continuous improvement, innovation, employee engagement, and development.

• Collaborate with Employee Relations to assist managers and employees with HR policies and practices.

• Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations while fostering a positive workplace environment.

• Guide managers on performance evaluations and constructive feedback.

• Assess training requirements and aid leaders in formulating employee development plans.

• Utilize HR metrics and workforce analytics to uncover trends and challenges, informing strategic decisions.

• Present key HR initiatives and results to leadership.

• Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion through various programs and policies.

• Work closely with Compensation and Benefits, Learning and Development, HR Operations, and other HR departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• At least 10 years of experience in human resources within the Tech sector, particularly supporting engineering functions, including startups and transformation projects.

• Comprehensive understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.

• Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly managing HR teams and influencing stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient relationship-building skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders throughout the organization.

• Experience in leading change initiatives and managing organizational transformations.

• Strong project management skills to supervise multiple HR initiatives and ensure successful execution.
