People and Delivery Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assume direct management responsibilities for developers, Tech Leads, and Staff Engineers.

• Facilitate performance enhancement, growth, and career progression.

• Take ownership of delivery reliability and enhance collaboration, workflows, and delivery methodologies.

• Cultivate trust, ownership, and a culture of continuous improvement to enable team autonomy.

• Co-manage the value stream's OKRs alongside the Product Manager.

• Organize retrospectives, planning meetings, and other team rituals.

• Join the Value Stream Leadership Team to help guide priorities, delivery, architecture, and quality.

• Collaborate with the other People & Delivery Lead on planning, shared Flow, and DORA metrics.

• Work with Principal Engineers to develop incident-management practices.

• Integrate OKRs with the Chief Product Officer.

• Collaborate with the Head of Engineering to define a shared Definition of Done.

• Enhance collaboration across the engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in engineering or delivery management.

• Direct management experience with software developers.

• Proven ability to lead multiple engineering teams or cross-functional team structures.

• A servant-leadership and coaching-first approach that focuses on empowering teams.

• Strong collaboration skills with the capability to partner with technical leaders while honoring architectural ownership.

• Familiarity with agile delivery practices and metrics such as Flow and DORA.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

• Proficiency in English.

• German language skills at a minimum C1 level.

• Residency in Germany is required.

• Experience in a scale-up or organizational transformation is a plus.

• Familiarity with fintech, mortgage technology, or CRM platforms is appreciated but not mandatory.
