People and Delivery Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Directly oversee the management of developers, Tech Leads, and Staff Engineers.

• Facilitate performance evaluations, growth opportunities, and career advancement.

• Take ownership of delivery reliability while enhancing collaboration, workflows, and delivery methodologies.

• Cultivate an environment of trust, ownership, and continuous improvement, enabling teams to become more autonomous.

• Collaborate with the Product Manager in co-owning the value stream's OKRs.

• Lead retrospectives, planning meetings, and other team rituals.

• Participate in the Value Stream Leadership Team to influence priorities, delivery, architecture, and quality.

• Work alongside the other People & Delivery Lead on planning, shared Flow, and DORA metrics.

• Team up with Principal Engineers to enhance incident-management practices.

• Integrate OKRs in collaboration with the CPO.

• Cooperate with the Head of Engineering to define a shared Definition of Done and promote better collaboration across the engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of experience in engineering or delivery management.

• Proven track record in managing software developers directly.

• Experience in leading several engineering teams or cross-functional team setups.

• A servant-leadership mindset that emphasizes empowering teams, fostering ownership, and supporting individual development.

• Excellent collaborative abilities and confidence in working alongside technical leaders while honoring architectural responsibilities.

• Familiarity with agile delivery methods and metrics, including Flow and DORA.

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Proficient in English.

• German language skills at a minimum C1 level.

• Residency in Germany is required.

• Prior experience in a scale-up or organizational transformation is advantageous.

• Knowledge of fintech, mortgage technology, or CRM platforms is appreciated but not mandatory.
