This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
β’ Provide peer support and create a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere for clients.
β’ Actively engage with clients to understand their experiences, challenges, and aspirations.
β’ Offer empathy, encouragement, and practical coping strategies for recovery.
β’ Collaborate with clinical and counseling teams to enhance the quality of client care.
β’ Promote a sense of belonging and community among clients.
β’ Participate in team meetings to share observations and updates.
β’ Monitor client progress and deliver ongoing support.
β’ Continuously enhance your peer support skills through training and personal development.
β’ Assist in creating recovery-focused initiatives and programs.
β’ Contribute to the assessment and enhancement of peer support services.
β’ Keep records of client interactions and progress.
β’ Perform general administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
β’ Lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges, coupled with a strong commitment to recovery.
β’ Completion of an accredited Peer Support Specialist training program or certification is preferred (or to be completed within 90 days).
β’ Excellent communication and active listening abilities.
β’ Empathy and a proven ability to establish trust with clients.
β’ Competence in working effectively within a team and collaborating with clinical and counseling professionals.
β’ Commitment to combating stigma related to mental health and substance use.
β’ This position is non-benefited.
