Peer Reviewer – Board Certified

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Perform independent, remote clinical evaluations within your area of expertise.

• Assess medical necessity, appropriateness of care, quality of care, and standards of care.

• Analyze medical records and relevant clinical documentation.

• Utilize established clinical guidelines, evidence-based standards, and professional judgment.

• Deliver clear, well-supported written determinations.

• Assist with utilization reviews, appeals, hearings, and concerns regarding quality or standards of care.

• Uphold clinical neutrality, objectivity, and confidentiality throughout the review process.

• Complete assigned reviews within the designated turnaround times.

⛳️ Requirements

• Actively practicing, Board-Certified Physician.

• Specialty in Family Medicine with experience in pediatrics, Rheumatology, Pain Management, Psychiatry, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R).

• Possess an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license.

• Board Certified in the specialty by an ABMS- or AOA-recognized board.

• A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience within the specialty.

• Actively practicing and providing direct patient care for an average of at least 20 hours per week.

• Excellent written communication and clinical documentation skills.

• Capability to independently assess complex medical records and deliver evidence-based conclusions.

• Ability to adhere to established case turnaround deadlines.
