Payroll Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Accurately process end-to-end payroll for all designated legal entities in a timely manner.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, provincial, and local payroll laws and regulations.

• Conduct reviews and reconciliations of payroll data, including timekeeping records.

• Work in collaboration with HR and Finance to address payroll discrepancies and issues.

• Assist in payroll audits and address inquiries from employees, management, and external agencies.

• Execute quarterly and annual payroll tax reconciliations.

• Prepare and facilitate year-end payroll processing activities.

• Support the implementation and testing of payroll system upgrades and enhancements.

• Conduct payroll-related analysis and reporting as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate’s degree in a relevant field or over 3 years of pertinent experience.

• In-depth knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance standards.

• Proficient in payroll software applications.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Capable of managing sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Experience in multi-state payroll processing is preferred.

• Familiarity with benefits administration and timekeeping systems is a plus.

• Experience in international payroll is advantageous.
