This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute comprehensive payroll processes for various clients utilizing the vendor-specific platform.
• Conduct audits on payroll data, focusing on earnings, deductions, and accruals.
• Carry out payroll balancing activities.
• Oversee the management of new hires, terminations, compensation modifications, and changes to earnings/deductions.
• Handle off-cycle payrolls, bonuses, commissions, and retroactive adjustments.
• Assist with payroll imports, integrations, and reviews of timekeeping data.
• Gather, validate, and process payroll information in collaboration with clients.
• Aid in the onboarding of new clients by documenting payroll workflows, calendars, and operational procedures.
• Evaluate procedures and suggest improvements for processes.
• Create and maintain client-specific payroll standard operating procedures (SOPs) and onboarding materials.
• Transition payroll operations into standardized workflows.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and client queries.
• Engage in payroll projects, system enhancements, and onboarding initiatives.
• Work collaboratively across functions to ensure accurate payroll processing and timely issue resolution.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• Practical experience in payroll processing within the vendor-specific system.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including auditing, manipulating, and reconciling extensive payroll data sets.
• Experience utilizing Excel for payroll balancing, variance analysis, retro calculations, and data validation.
• Strong knowledge of VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF(S), COUNTIF(S), IF statements, and pivot tables.
• Capable of importing/exporting payroll files and reviewing data feeds using Excel.
• Experience in managing client-facing payroll communications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to manage multiple payrolls within a deadline-oriented environment.
• Proven problem-solving skills in complex payroll situations.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
• Capability to analyze payroll workflows, identifying opportunities for operational improvements and process standardization.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills, including the development of detailed client-specific payroll procedures and SOPs.
• Two to four years of direct experience with vendor-specific payroll required.
• Working knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to participate in video conferences and meetings.
