This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Handle end-to-end payroll for various clients utilizing the vendor-specific platform.
• Conduct audits on payroll data for earnings, deductions, and accruals.
• Execute payroll balancing to guarantee accurate and error-free processing.
• Oversee new hires, terminations, compensation adjustments, and changes in earnings/deductions.
• Manage off-cycle payrolls, bonuses, commissions, and retroactive adjustments.
• Assist with payroll imports, integrations, and reviews of timekeeping data.
• Gather, validate, and process payroll inputs from clients.
• Aid in new client onboarding by documenting payroll workflows, schedules, and operational procedures.
• Examine client payroll procedures and suggest enhancements.
• Create and maintain client-specific payroll Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and onboarding materials.
• Transition payroll operations to standardized workflows that align with PuzzleHR practices.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and client inquiries.
• Engage in payroll projects, system optimizations, and onboarding tasks.
• Collaborate across departments to support payroll processing, ensure data accuracy, and resolve issues promptly.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
• Practical experience in payroll processing with the vendor-specific system.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including auditing, manipulating, and reconciling extensive payroll datasets.
• Experience utilizing Excel for payroll balancing, variance analysis, retro calculations, and data validation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF(S), COUNTIF(S), IF statements, and pivot tables.
• Capability to import/export payroll files and review data feeds in Excel.
• Experience managing payroll communications with clients.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Competence in managing multiple payrolls within a deadline-driven environment.
• Proven problem-solving abilities in complex payroll scenarios.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to analyze payroll workflows to identify opportunities for operational improvement and process standardization.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills, including creating detailed client-specific payroll procedures and SOPs.
• Two (2) to four (4) years of direct vendor-specific payroll experience is required.
• Familiarity with payroll principles, practices, and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field — or equivalent experience preferred.
• Preferred: Five (5) or more years of payroll processing experience.
• Preferred: Experience in benefits and earnings/deduction configuration.
• Preferred: Client payroll onboarding or implementation experience.
• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
• Capability to participate in video conferences/meetings.
