Payroll Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +18 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee a designated portfolio of payroll clients.

• Guarantee accuracy in end-to-end payroll processing, tax compliance, and timely execution.

• Facilitate onboarding processes for new clients.

• Confirm ADP configuration, encompassing tax settings, withholdings, and benefits.

• Determine AutoPay eligibility.

• Maintain proactive communication with clients and address inquiries within 24–48 business hours.

• Conduct client meetings as necessary.

• Supervise the completion of payroll filings and reports.

• Ensure timely delivery of deliverables to clients.

• Investigate, monitor, and resolve payroll notifications from tax authorities.

• Elevate issues to management when appropriate.

• Engage in special projects, audits, process evaluations, and initiatives for workflow enhancement.

• Assist in the implementation of new payroll procedures.

• Contribute to achieving departmental objectives.

• Act as the primary point of contact between the Payroll Team and ADP regarding payroll inquiries, system challenges, and operational support.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline (Preferred).

• At least 2 years of relevant payroll experience.

• Experience with multiple clients in a business services setting is preferred.

• Exceptional organizational skills.

• Strong understanding of payroll systems.

• Experience with ADP is preferred.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proactive communication and strong follow-up skills.

• Ability to uphold strict confidentiality of client and employee information.

• Must complete the mandatory security verification process on the first day.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

• Visa sponsorship is not available.
