Payroll Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Handle ServiceNow requests from HR Services, business partners, and field Payroll Administrators while adhering to SLAs.

• Oversee payroll and time and attendance queues, monitor tickets, finalize completed submissions, and highlight any workload or processing issues.

• Maintain direct deposit details, investigate inquiries, process ACH reversals, and resolve daily ACH kickbacks.

• Execute retro merit payments, payroll adjustments, overpayments, and daily off-cycle payments in compliance with state regulations.

• Process termination payments according to state laws and company policies.

• Input PTO/UTO, update schedules, correct time punches, and uphold Kronos attendance records.

• Address payroll and time and attendance inquiries, resolving or escalating issues when necessary.

• Ensure accurate payroll and time and attendance records are maintained in accordance with HR policies and procedures.

• Train both new and existing field management on time and attendance procedures.

• Collaborate with HR, HR Services, Kronos, and stakeholders to escalate issues, share trends, and review best practices.

• Investigate complex payroll issues to determine root causes and necessary corrective actions.

• Execute queries, audits, HR Connect reports, Kronos reports, and genies to validate data and support projects or requests.

• Complete special projects assigned by department management.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and administration, including multi-state federal and state payroll regulations.

• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering accurate and timely work.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric approach.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to analyze complex payroll issues.

• Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.

• Ability to work independently, manage a high-volume and complex caseload, and recognize when escalation is required.

• Collaborative mindset when working with cross-functional partners.

• High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential associate and payroll information.

• Preferred: experience with ADP, Paychex, or SAP.

• Preferred: advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and manipulate complex spreadsheets.

• Preferred: experience with Oracle HCM or Kronos, particularly in system navigation and troubleshooting.

• Preferred: familiarity with international payroll regulations and processes.
