This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, guide, and provide support to payroll personnel through training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

• Handle the complete payroll processing for weekly, biweekly, and monthly cycles.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws, including preparation of W-2 forms and year-end tax documentation.

• Manage payroll systems, audit payroll cycles, and confirm uploads to the general ledger.

• Investigate, analyze, and rectify payroll discrepancies, audit results, and budget discrepancies.

• Review payroll reports and address inquiries from third-party payroll entities.

• Aid in workers’ compensation audits.

• Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, and cross-departmental teams on operational projects.

• Handle deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain confidentiality of information.

• Recruit, train, mentor, and nurture payroll team members.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline is required.

• A minimum of six (6) years of multi-state payroll experience in a high-volume setting is essential.

• At least four (4) years of supervisory experience is preferred.

• A combination of education and experience may be considered equivalent.

• Proficiency with Workday is required.

• Experience with One Source Virtual (OSV) is preferred.

• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred.

• Extensive knowledge of payroll processing and accounting principles in a high-volume organization.

• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax obligations, and labor laws.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, and OSV.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with accounting and payroll processing principles and their effects on the general ledger.

• Basic knowledge of payroll regulations and labor laws is preferred.
