Payroll and HR Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee payroll administration for client organizations in Canada and the US.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and benefits transactions.

• Review and validate payroll and benefits information, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and employee benefits.

• Resolve discrepancies and issues related to payroll and benefits.

• Utilize payroll systems such as Ceridian, RISE, ADP, PayWorks, and others.

• Keep informed about system updates and enhancements.

• Troubleshoot and assist with system-related inquiries from clients.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state/provincial, and local payroll and benefits laws and regulations in both Canada and the US.

• Produce payroll and benefits reports for client management and accounting needs.

• Prepare and file payroll and benefits-related tax submissions.

• Perform audits of payroll and benefits processes and suggest corrective measures.

• Conduct reconciliations of payroll and benefits accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree and payroll certification are preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.

• Proficient in payroll and HRIS systems, ideally ADP, Ceridian, and Payworks.

• Comprehensive understanding of Canadian and US payroll and benefits laws, regulations, and tax codes.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

• Capability to manage confidential information with utmost discretion.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• HR experience is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Ceridian, RISE, ADP, PayWorks, and other payroll systems is essential.

• Ability to process payroll and benefits for clients in both Canada and the US.
