This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the complete U.S. payroll process and assist with payroll functions for international locations.
• Examine payroll data, identify the root causes of discrepancies, and resolve issues within specified timelines.
• Review and confirm earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, tax levies, and one-time payments.
• Conduct payroll reconciliations, including gross-to-net, payroll tax, and time-to-payroll reconciliations.
• Oversee off-cycle payrolls, payroll adjustments, and employee terminations, ensuring compliance with final pay regulations.
• Adhere to payroll deadlines by utilizing payroll calendars, checklists, and sign-off procedures.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax and wage-and-hour regulations.
• Support quarterly and year-end processes, such as W-2 processing, audits, and regulatory reporting.
• Keep payroll documentation and records organized for both internal and external audits.
• Administer Workday Payroll and Time Tracking, including processing, time entry, approvals, and time calculation rules.
• Configure, test, troubleshoot, and enhance Workday Payroll and Time Tracking as per Change Management protocols.
• Maintain reports on year-to-date earnings, exceptions, audits, and other payroll/timekeeping data.
• Collaborate with HRIS and the Payroll Manager on Workday enhancements, testing, and releases.
• Monitor, audit, and reconcile timekeeping data.
• Address employee and manager payroll inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
• Act as a backup contact for the allotment inbox.
• Recognize opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Create payroll standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation to ensure consistency and facilitate cross-training.
• Engage in cross-functional projects and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Payroll Manager or Corporate Accounting Team Lead.
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
• Over 5 years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 3 years using Workday payroll modules.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. payroll tax compliance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and database creation.
• Strong capabilities in report writing and data analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complexities in a global payroll environment with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a strong commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
• Ability to succeed in a dynamic, global work environment and foster robust cross-cultural partnerships.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
