This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Develop and implement the strategy for payment acceptance and disbursement functionalities, encompassing cards, ACH, digital wallets, alternative payment methods, and innovative payment systems.
• Create payment operations, reporting frameworks, controls, and standards that align with the goals of the organization and comply with relevant regulations.
• Oversee financial analysis, business case creation, and reporting related to payment performance, expenses, settlement, fraud, and vendor economics.
• Formulate and manage plans, budgets, reporting, and operational strategies related to payments.
• Supervise staff involved in payment operations and reporting activities.
• Maintain relationships with payment processors, gateways, fraud prevention providers, and disbursement vendors.
• Lead the selection of vendors, contract negotiations, performance oversight, and resolution of issues.
• Direct initiatives aimed at enhancing payment performance, operational efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Finance, Information Security, Legal, Technology, and Line of Business stakeholders.
• Analyze and prepare data insights for senior leadership review.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and development support to staff, volunteers, and cross-functional teams.
• Oversee RFP processes for e-commerce and related services.
• May deliver briefings for senior leadership and top management.
• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with standard operating procedures and Federal, State, and local regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience is required.
• Proven experience in leading payment strategy, platform ownership, financial analysis, vendor management, and process improvement initiatives.
• At least 5 years of management experience.
• Expertise in planning and supervising analytical programs and activities.
• Capability to identify client and customer needs and translate them into organizational strategies.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in complex scenarios and apply financial insight.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficient in using personal computers, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
• Ability to collaborate with and lead a team effectively.
• Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to develop policies, operating models, and performance metrics.
• Comprehensive understanding of payment ecosystems, payment technologies, settlement procedures, fraud prevention, and vendor management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational transformation.
• Willingness to travel and participate in meetings and conferences across the Red Cross system.
