This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Gibraltar.
• Ensure comprehensive execution of payment-related tasks in accordance with payment execution and authorization guidelines.
• Coordinate the workload of the Payments team.
• Guarantee seamless payment execution while meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
• Oversee and inspire Payments Analysts by maintaining communication regarding organizational and team objectives.
• Manage operational partnerships with external banking and related entities.
• Represent the Payments team in strategically aligned groups to enhance cross-team communication.
• Develop, uphold, enhance, and implement policies, processes, and procedures.
• Identify, suggest, and document improvements in processes and internal controls.
• Monitor and gather transactional metrics related to payment performance and areas for improvement.
• Address and resolve inquiries and exceptions within internal SLAs.
• Collaborate with internal and external audits to provide requested operational data.
• Engage with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and proactively drive enhancements in processes and systems.
• Work together to identify and rectify technical and informational challenges.
• Observe system behavior and report issues that impact information flows.
• Track charges, fees, and costs from financial services providers.
• Publish metrics on team and operational performance for management review.
• Proven relevant experience in Operations departments, preferably within a bank, fintech, payments, or finance-related institution.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of correspondent banking, both cross-border and local payment systems.
• Solid grasp of cryptocurrency payment processes.
• Direct experience with domestic or cross-border payment processes; experience in executing crypto payments is an advantage.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple responsibilities, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of back-end and front-end banking systems, operations, and their integration with other tools.
• Proficient in English: capable of reading, writing, and speaking fluently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced skills in Excel or databases with a keen attention to detail.
• Interest in technology and cryptocurrencies.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
