Payment Operations Analyst – SEPA, SWIFT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Address customers' daily payment concerns from start to finish

• Manage SEPA and SWIFT recall processes

• Perform investigations on SEPA and SWIFT payments

• Evaluate payments and transaction details

• Develop processes for the Payment Operations hub from the ground up

• Assist with launches in new markets

• Influence the delivery of payment services within products and back-office systems

• Engage with payment infrastructure suppliers and partner banks

• Escalate requests and monitor issues

• Proactively seek solutions and enhance customer experience

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in payment operations, banking operations, or fintech

• Strong preference for SEPA/SWIFT experience

• Understanding of SEPA (SCT, SCT Inst, SDD)

• Familiarity with SWIFT messaging (MT/MX, gpi), recalls, and payment investigations

• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail when dealing with transaction data

• Proficient written English for communication with partner banks and internal teams

• Additional European language skills are advantageous

• Proactive and ownership-oriented approach to tackling ambiguous challenges

• Experience with fraud recall processes or collaboration in compliance/FCRM is a plus

• Knowledge of tools like Intercom, Jira, Metabase/SQL, or back-office payment systems is beneficial

• Experience in establishing or documenting operational procedures is desirable

• Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT for data analysis, drafting communications, documenting processes, and automating repetitive tasks
