Payment Operations Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Accurately and efficiently process manual payments in accordance with scheme guidelines.

• Manage payment investigations for various products, addressing missing payment inquiries and redirected payments, while engaging directly with customers.

• Handle Indemnity Claims (DDIC), challenges, and review BACS reports such as ADDACS, ARUDD, and AUDDIS.

• Oversee Credit Payment Recovery (CPR), bulk bank error recoveries, and international payment recalls.

• Work collaboratively with external partners, including other banks, debt management firms, and Pay.UK.

• Partner with internal Operations, Product, Engineering, and Risk teams to enhance the customer journey.

• Aid in the development and upkeep of operational processes and knowledge base resources.

• Provide training for new employees.

• Recognize and address operational risks.

• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

• Utilize Excel / Google Sheets to analyze data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in payment operations.

• Demonstrated expertise in payment operations encompassing domestic schemes (FPS, Bacs, Cards) and/or international payments.

• Remarkable attention to detail.

• Confidence in investigating issues across multiple financial products, such as business bank accounts, loans, and savings accounts.

• Strong knowledge of UK payment scheme regulations and procedures.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Practical customer service experience.

• Capability to work independently.

• Proficient in drafting new workflows.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

• Skillful in leveraging data to resolve operational challenges.

• Strong hands-on experience with spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets) for data analysis.

• Direct experience with Credit Payment Recovery (CPR) is preferred.

• Practical experience using the Payment Services Website (PSW) for ADDACS, ARUDD, AUDDIS, or DDIC is preferred.

• Basic SQL knowledge is preferred.
