Pavement Condition Index (PCI) Survey & Annotation Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Examine roadway images, inspection documentation, and outputs generated by AI.

• Assess the accuracy and consistency of pavement distress types, severity levels, and condition evaluations in accordance with PCI methodology.

• Annotate or confirm pavement characteristics and distress patterns, including cracking, rutting, spalling, patching, weathering, and other common pavement issues.

• Analyze imagery of roadways or excerpts from surveys.

• Validate classifications of pavement distress as produced by AI.

• Offer written feedback detailing misidentifications by the model or errors in severity levels.

• Clarify differences between similar distress categories.

• Explain the evaluation process for sampling units.

• Assess the impact of real-world field conditions on PCI scoring and reporting.

• Assist in training and evaluating advanced AI models.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in conducting or interpreting Pavement Condition Index (PCI) surveys.

• Understanding of PCI surveys, pavement condition evaluations, inspection imagery, condition reports, or roadway maintenance strategies.

• Capability to consistently apply definitions of pavement distress and rating criteria.

• Strong written communication skills.

• Ability to articulate inspection rationale and classification decisions in a structured manner.

• Keen attention to visual details.

• No previous AI or technical background is necessary.

• The contractor must provide a secure computer and high-speed internet access.
