This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Facilitate effective patient journeys to and throughout therapy by means of care coordination, education, and psychosocial support.
• Deliver education on medication and disease states.
• Offer clinical insights to improve the clinical aspects of patient support programs.
• Educate and support patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers regarding designated therapeutic areas.
• Build relationships, foster trust, and maintain rapport in a fully telephonic environment.
• Guide and educate patients on product usage, dosing and administration, device usage, insurance coverage, and reimbursement hurdles in telephonic or virtual formats.
• Assess and contribute to the development of program resources.
• Coordinate and secure financial assistance options for patients in financial distress.
• Adhere to program guidelines and escalate complex cases in line with policy and procedures.
• Make and receive calls related to disease states, products, patient needs, insurance coverage, and financial assistance.
• Maintain and manage patient account records within a digital CRM system.
• Assist healthcare provider offices with prescription inquiries, concerns, or challenges.
• Document and report adverse events and product/safety complaints following program SOPs.
• Participate in program-specific customer meetings, training sessions, and orientation meetings.
• Exhibit clinical and program competency through written evaluations and tests.
• Advocate for patients and healthcare providers concerning insurance coverage, medical billing, reimbursement, and access to complex pharmaceuticals.
• Comply with corporate policies, procedures, SOPs, and training deadlines.
• Perform additional assigned tasks and projects.
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN, RN) with an active nursing license in one or more states.
• At least four years of nursing experience; prior telephonic experience is advantageous.
• Understanding of medical insurance terminology and reimbursement/insurance processes, healthcare billing, physician office operations, health insurance processing, or related reimbursement experience is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; may be required to submit a written test sample.
• Proficient in Microsoft products, including Excel and Adobe.
• Experience and comfort with digital CRM systems are required.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through in communication with patients and providers.
• Excellent empathetic listening abilities.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and adapt quickly.
• Solid customer service experience and skills.
• Must be eligible to obtain licensure in all 50 states.
• Preferred typing speed of at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.
• Successful completion of a background check and, depending on the position, a drug screening.
