Patient Services Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary point of contact for both new and existing CommUnityCare patients.

• Manage the scheduling, rescheduling, cancellation, and confirmation of physician appointments.

• Utilize a multiline phone system and conduct data entry using the EPIC Electronic Practice Management (EPM) system.

• Interview new patients or their representatives to assist them in finding a suitable CommUnityCare clinic and primary care provider.

• Collect patient demographic and insurance details.

• Identify and prioritize urgent scheduling requests with the relevant clinic.

• Address patient inquiries as instructed.

• Assist in facilitating financial screening services.

• Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to patient experience standards.

• Collaborate with various departments and divisions to deliver patient-centered care.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical or call-center environment is required.

• Ability to type at a speed of at least 45 words per minute.

• Prior experience in scheduling, registration, billing, or as an administrative assistant.

• Familiarity with appointment scheduling processes.

• Capability to implement established scheduling protocols.

• Strong customer service skills, including the ability to address patient complaints or refer them to the manager as necessary.

• Proficient in the Epic EPM/EMR Systems and standard Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
