Patient Services Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary contact for both new and existing CommUnityCare patients.

• Arrange, confirm, reschedule, and cancel appointments with physicians.

• Utilize multiline phone systems while performing data entry in the EPIC Electronic Practice Management system.

• Conduct interviews with patients or their representatives to align them with the suitable clinic and primary care provider.

• Collect patient demographic details and insurance information.

• Identify and prioritize urgent scheduling requirements.

• Address patient inquiries and facilitate financial screening services.

• Uphold patient confidentiality and achieve patient experience metrics.

• Adhere to standardized scheduling practices and telephone scripts.

• Collaborate with clinics, departments, divisions, patients, families, and staff to ensure patient-centered care.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• At least 1 year of prior experience in a medical or call center environment is required.

• Proficiency in typing at a minimum speed of 45 words per minute.

• Previous experience in scheduling, registration, billing, or as an administrative assistant.

• Understanding of appointment scheduling processes.

• Capability to implement established scheduling protocols.

• Excellent customer service abilities, including resolving patient complaints or appropriately referring them to a manager.

• Familiarity with Epic EPM/EMR Systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
