This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Educate physicians and clinical personnel about Breg's orthopedic bracing and supply program, including product options, equipment usage, and specialized applications.
• Fit and utilize Breg products in accordance with training protocols, clinical guidelines, and company standards.
• Measure and fit patients for orthopedic soft goods and functional bracing.
• Provide instructions to patients and healthcare providers regarding product usage, care, and expected outcomes.
• Deliver outstanding patient service and ensure timely follow-ups.
• Coordinate product logistics, including replenishment, ordering, returns, inventory transfers, and reconciliation.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and minimize stagnant inventory by processing expired, damaged, or unsellable products.
• Assist with order fulfillment and guarantee that account documentation is complete and accurate.
• Uphold product displays, storage areas, and inventory spaces to meet operational standards.
• Offer onsite support during recalls, audits, and field communication initiatives.
• Accurately complete inventory counts in a timely manner.
• Prepare, compile, and submit insurance billing documentation.
• Review pending claims, gather missing information, identify documentation deficiencies, and utilize Power BI, Breg Vision, and Breg Claims System (BCS).
• Obtain pre-authorization and collect applicable co-insurances, deductibles, and cash-pay amounts.
• Monitor claim denials and claims requiring additional information with internal departments.
• Adhere to Breg policies, SOPs, HIPAA, FDA requirements, and relevant healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with the Solution Team, Sales, and Field Operations to address account issues and enhance service efficiency.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management and account review reports, analyzing trends and opportunities for process improvement.
• Advocate for Breg's culture and demonstrate accountability through the See it, Own it, Solve it, and Do it framework.
• Associate degree in a healthcare-related field, completion of an approved healthcare certification or certificate program, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and hands-on experience in orthotics, athletic training, sports medicine, durable medical equipment (DME), or patient care is required.
• Relevant certification or licensure such as American Board Certification (ABC) Certified Fitter-orthotics (CFo), Board of Certification (BOC), Athletic Training licensure, or Orthopaedic Technologist Certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with standard workflows and procedures in orthopedic clinics or physician offices is preferred.
• Knowledge of orthopedic bracing and supply products along with applicable utilization procedures is preferred.
• Proficiency in web browsing/internet searching, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Ability to learn new software and systems effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to engage with patients and deliver exceptional customer service, even in escalated situations.
