This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Manage both incoming and outgoing communications for up to six BMC ambulatory practices.

β€’ Address patient inquiries and resolve any questions or concerns they may have.

β€’ Schedule and reschedule appointments through a computerized scheduling system.

β€’ Follow up with patients regarding medication reconciliation and refills.

β€’ Conduct insurance verification and manage authorization processes.

β€’ Document and communicate patient information to practices in accordance with established guidelines.

β€’ Engage with patients and staff through various channels including phone, online chat, email, fax, and mail.

β€’ Direct calls to the appropriate practice personnel when further consultation is necessary.

β€’ Provide appointment confirmations, directions, language-specific home instructions, and lab or imaging instructions.

β€’ Identify opportunities for process improvements and keep updated on healthcare developments.

β€’ Escalate issues that fall outside of existing protocols or processes.

β€’ Attend training sessions and support new personnel during their training and orientation.

β€’ Participate in staff meetings and identify challenges to a positive patient experience.

β€’ Adapt to departmental needs by assisting team members, floating, and adjusting assignments as required.

β€’ Adhere to hospital performance, conduct, patient rights, HIPAA, privacy, infection control, and safety standards.

β€’ Carry out other duties as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A minimum of a High School diploma or GED is required.

β€’ A stable internet connection is essential.

β€’ A quiet and secure workspace free from interruptions for remote work is necessary.

β€’ Ability to explain complex healthcare issues to patients with empathy and understanding.

β€’ Capacity to empathize with patients and guide them in navigating the healthcare system.

β€’ Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse groups of professionals and personalities in a team setting.

β€’ Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.

β€’ Proficiency with phone calls, online chats, emails, faxes, and mail.

β€’ Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Internet Explorer, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

β€’ Capability to document work in a professional and efficient manner.
