This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage daily Financial Clearance and Scheduling operations to enhance the patient experience.
• Conduct scheduling and registration tasks with patients during a single call.
• Timely schedule appointments and provide relevant appointment details, such as test preparation, directions, and order management.
• Confirm patient demographics and insurance information.
• Ensure payment of patients' financial obligations and conduct collection efforts.
• Validate orders, confirm they correspond with scheduled procedures, and index/export physician orders when tasked with Order Management.
• Gather and verify demographic and financial information for intricate pre-registration tasks.
• Assess patient financial responsibilities and secure pre-payment for upcoming services.
• Establish complete pre-registration accounts for future inpatient or surgical admissions.
• Fulfill pre-certification requirements by obtaining authorization from insurers and/or healthcare facilities.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned according to departmental needs.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Capability to operate in a production-focused call-center setting.
• Experience working with dual computer monitors.
• Basic typing skills.
• Proficient understanding of a Windows-based computer environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks across various systems simultaneously.
• Advanced multitasking capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must secure and provide verification of necessary vaccinations and screenings, as allowed by law.
• Must be able to work while seated, utilize a computer, and answer phone calls.
• Willingness to travel.
• Approximately 0% travel may be required.
• Position may qualify for a signing bonus for eligible new hires, depending on employment status.
