This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Schedule appointments for patients via phone and electronic communication.

• Act as the main point of contact for patients and external facilities.

• Gather, verify, and relay details regarding patient insurance benefits.

• Inform patients about insurance verification processes and anticipated financial obligations.

• Confirm appointments and provide relevant details, locations, and any special instructions.

• Create and manage patient records, demographic information, and necessary documentation.

• Reach out to referring provider offices for records and visit preparation information.

• Coordinate with healthcare providers and medical personnel.

• Address patient inquiries through phone and written correspondence.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams and third-party systems to enhance coordinated care.

• Assist insurance verification associates as required.

• Uphold HIPAA compliance and ensure confidentiality.

• Execute other responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A bachelor's degree is preferred.

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in customer service, appointment scheduling, or healthcare is necessary.

• 6 months to 1 year of experience with EHR systems; EPIC is preferred.

• 6 months to 1 year of remote work experience is preferred, particularly in high-volume inbound and outbound call settings.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Excellent skills in problem-solving and conflict resolution.

• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems.

• A strong customer service orientation with compassion and professionalism.

• Capacity to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record maintenance.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Capability to work independently as well as in a team setting.

• Reliable, punctual, and effective time management skills.

• Adaptable and receptive to change.

• An empathetic, patient-centric approach.

• High-speed internet and a secure HIPAA-compliant workspace are required.

• Must successfully complete an internet speed test.
