This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
β’ Serve as the main point of contact for patients and their families, addressing questions and concerns.
β’ Address patient complaints and grievances through thorough investigations, chart reviews, mediation, and written responses.
β’ Organize meetings between patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
β’ Track patient feedback and recognize trends to enhance patient satisfaction and overall experience.
β’ Provide notary services to patients and their families.
β’ Inform patients about available resources, services, support programs, rights, responsibilities, ADA regulations, and accessible communication methods.
β’ Support the development and compliance of policies related to patient relations, privacy, and Joint Commission grievances.
β’ Keep confidential records of complaints, grievances, actions taken, and resolutions.
β’ Collaborate with nursing staff, medical professionals, leadership, billing, quality assurance, compliance, legal, safety, ethics, and community/governmental organizations.
β’ Advocate for patients and assist with advance directives, powers of attorney, informed consent, end-of-life preferences, financial services, insurance regulations, and payment discrepancies.
β’ Must obtain certification as a Notary within three months of hire.
β’ Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
β’ Bachelor's Degree required.
β’ Familiarity with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations and accommodations.
β’ Understanding of healthcare regulations and best practices.
β’ Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient records and information.
β’ Competence in navigating financial services and insurance regulations.
