This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Collaborate with healthcare providers, specialty pharmacies, and payers to facilitate patient access to prescribed medications and deliver tailored support.
β’ Act as the main point of contact for patients and caregivers during their treatment journey.
β’ Assist healthcare professionals in enrolling patients into support programs.
β’ Guide patients and caregivers through the processes of enrollment, benefits verification, prior authorization, financial assistance, and therapy commencement.
β’ Offer education on program offerings, insurance processes, disease states, and treatments using approved materials.
β’ Manage assigned patient cases from referral to therapy initiation.
β’ Conduct benefits investigations to ascertain insurance coverage, prior authorization requirements, and patient financial obligations.
β’ Oversee prior authorization and appeals processes, which includes initiating, submitting, tracking, and following up on requests.
β’ Identify and mitigate financial, clinical, and adherence challenges related to therapy.
β’ Promote medication adherence and maintain ongoing patient engagement.
β’ Coordinate efforts with providers, pharmacies, and internal teams.
β’ Document patient interactions and outcomes in alignment with program requirements.
β’ Monitor case progress and escalate complex reimbursement issues as necessary.
β’ Engage in quality initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
β’ Ensure adherence to regulatory and privacy standards.
β’ An active, unrestricted RN license is required.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
β’ Preferably 3+ years of experience in dermatology or immunology.
β’ 2-5 years of experience in case management and patient support.
β’ Background in case management, patient access, HUB services, or specialty pharmacy is preferred.
β’ Strong understanding of healthcare systems and advocacy for patients.
β’ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
β’ Ability to independently manage a patient caseload.
β’ Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
β’ Comfortable working in a virtual or call center setting.
