Patient Intake Specialist, Mental Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as the initial point of contact for patients or their families when they reach out to Sailor Health.

• Assist older adults and their caregivers in navigating the mental health intake process.

• Offer patient support, coordinate care, and provide emotional guidance.

• Aid patients in their care journey by connecting them with suitable therapists.

• Ensure that patients feel supported, confident, and understood throughout their experience.

• Take initiative and contribute to the development of essential processes within a small, agile team.

• Work collaboratively with a thoughtful and mission-driven remote team.

• Exceptional empathy and effective communication skills.

• Strong active listening abilities and the capacity to help individuals feel comfortable during challenging or emotional discussions.

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

• Capability to manage multiple patients at various stages of the process.

• Proficient in learning Google Workspace, EHR systems like Healthie, and CRMs such as HubSpot.

• Quick to adapt to new software applications.

• Interest in mental health and improving access to healthcare.

• Previous experience in healthcare, customer service, or administrative roles is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Must reside in Canada.

• Comfortable working during Eastern Time Zone hours.

• Availability for full-time work.
