Patient Intake Specialist, Mental Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as the initial point of contact for patients and their families reaching out to Sailor Health

• Assist older adults and caregivers throughout the patient intake process

• Offer patient support, care coordination, and emotional assistance

• Help patients navigate their entry into care

• Connect patients with the appropriate therapist

• Ensure patients feel confident and understood during their journey

• Support older adults and families as they embark on their mental health care journey

• Take initiative and contribute to the development of key processes within a small, dynamic team

⛳️ Requirements

• Located in Canada

• Availability for full-time work

• Exceptional empathy and clear communication skills

• Strong active listening skills with the ability to navigate challenging conversations

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Capable of managing multiple patients at various stages

• Comfortable using Google Workspace, EHR platforms like Healthie, and CRMs such as HubSpot

• Quick learner of new software applications

• Interest in mental health and accessibility to healthcare

• Open to working Eastern Time Zone hours

• Willing to work one of the designated shifts: 9 a.m.–6 p.m. ET or 12 p.m.–9 p.m. ET

• Experience in healthcare, customer service, or administrative support is a plus but not mandatory
