Patient Engagement Specialist

📋 Description

• Enhance the patient experience through compassionate, professional phone interactions while prioritizing participant safety.

• Conduct outbound calls to potential participants for recruitment and enrollment in ongoing clinical research studies.

• Follow up with enrolled study participants regarding reported symptoms and maintain precise clinical documentation.

• Monitor and assist patients with e-diary completion and address any missed entries or technical inquiries.

• Deliver customer service to patients, study participants, clinical teams, and project stakeholders.

• Foster relationships with internal teams and research personnel to aid in study recruitment and participant retention.

• Ensure data integrity by accurately recording patient information in tracking systems and electronic tools.

• Comply with SOPs, HIPAA privacy regulations, and protocol guidelines.

• Communicate and escalate patient concerns or protocol deviations to clinical leads and project managers.

• Promote teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication in a fully remote setting.

• Carry out additional assigned tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent clinical credential/training is essential.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology is required.

• Practical clinical experience in a healthcare environment (medical office, clinic, or hospital) is necessary.

• Previous clinical research experience is not mandatory.

• Demonstrated interest in clinical trial outreach and patient communication.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.

• Empathetic and professional demeanor on the phone.

• High proficiency in using electronic documentation tools, digital diaries, and remote communication platforms.

• A quiet, private workspace with high-speed internet is needed to ensure HIPAA compliance and effective phone communication.
