Patient Care Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional customer service and service delivery to clients and patients by handling referrals for medical goods and services.

• Reach out to patients concerning new or ongoing referrals, verify demographic details, provide updates on referrals, and confirm the delivery of goods or services.

• Collaborate with vendor partners, claims adjusters, and nurse case managers regarding referrals.

• Source vendor partners for each referral based on the requested goods or services.

• Make or receive calls about existing referrals, new referrals, or referrals from other team members.

• Provide quotes to clients for their approval and follow up on quotes to secure written consent.

• Ensure that referrals are medically necessary and receive approval from the claims adjuster.

• Verify required billing information and advance referrals to billing on a daily basis.

• Process referrals in compliance with state regulations and workers' compensation guidelines.

• Carry out other assigned tasks as needed.

• Support the organization’s quality assurance programs.

• Travel as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• At least two (2) years of experience in healthcare network and patient care scheduling, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• Excellent customer service abilities.

• Strong critical thinking capabilities.

• Self-motivated individual.

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient in PC usage, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Possess analytical and interpretive abilities.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Capability to create and deliver comprehensive, accurate, and constructive written reports.

• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.

• Ability to meet or surpass Performance Competencies.

• A credit security clearance validated through a background credit check is required.
