Patient Care Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Process orders received from referral sources and patients.

• Address inquiries via phone and fax.

• Resolve complaints raised by patients.

• Evaluate patient requirements and document referral requests for care coordination.

• Provide relevant information regarding equipment, supplies, and services to the appropriate departments.

• Collaborate with the Insurance Verification Team to handle patient details and gather benefit coverage information.

• Communicate insurance coverage details to referral sources and patients.

• Discuss the forms necessary for billing with patients.

• Maintain effective communication and workflow among the branch, Sales staff, Insurance Verification team, and referral sources.

• Assist the Enteral Nutrition Center with the initial admission of patients to the service.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least two years of experience in customer service.

• A minimum of two years of experience in the healthcare sector.

• At least one year of experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.

• High School diploma or GED required.

• Familiarity with insurance terminology.

• Knowledge of medical benefits.

• Typing skills with a speed of 40-50 words per minute.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

• Proficiency in using multiple screens.

• Experience in a call center environment.

• Basic math skills are necessary.

• Must be capable of working independently.

• Expected weekly hours: 40.
