This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Support management in supervising departmental operations
• Guide employees in the role of quality improvement coordinator
• Ensure the accurate completion of registration processes
• Oversee and rectify reports while maintaining data integrity, precision, and process continuity
• Address escalated issues effectively
• Organize staff schedules and facilitate staff training and education
• Conduct quality reviews and identify opportunities for process enhancements
• Calculate error rates, monitor outcomes, and report findings to management
• Prepare, analyze, and rectify operational reports to guarantee precise billing
• Maintain staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage
• Collaborate with staff at all levels to troubleshoot issues
• Oversee assigned reports and investigate and rectify accounts
• Safeguard the financial integrity of the facility by ensuring the accuracy of departmental functions
• Prepare and deliver presentations for staff meetings, educational sessions, and in-services
• Monitor, assess, and address patient account concerns
• Conduct account analysis and trend evaluations
• Communicate effectively with Patient Access customers, physicians, care management, ancillary departments, nursing units, and physicians’ office personnel
• Assist HR processes, including coaching, mentoring, resolving performance issues, documentation, interviewing, and hiring recommendations
• Ensure adherence to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, safety, productivity, quality, and budget standards
• Act as a preceptor, mentor, and resource for less experienced staff
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• High School diploma or GED required
• Extensive experience in Patient Access, registration, and front desk operations
• Experience as a team lead or coordinator is preferred
• Proficiency in Epic is required
• Willingness to travel to various MHMG clinics within the system
• Flexibility to work late days on-site if necessary
• Preferred three (3) years of experience in a hospital or medical business office environment
• Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong typing/keyboarding skills
• Supervisory and/or leadership experience is a plus
