Patient Billing Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Generate and issue invoices for patients following the adjudication of insurance claims and determination of balances.

• Engage in communication with patients regarding any outstanding balances post-insurance adjudication.

• Establish and oversee payment plans in line with company policy.

• Collect both one-time payments and recurring payments from patients.

• Follow up on payments that are missed, late, or only partially paid.

• Monitor out-of-network claims where payments are directed to the member.

• Contact patients to gather insurance payments received directly by them.

• Provide education to patients regarding their obligations to make payments.

• Continue follow-up efforts until the full balance is settled.

• Contribute to the revenue cycle by collecting outstanding balances arising from insurance cost-sharing and out-of-network payments.

• Maintain complete, clear, and ready-for-review documentation of accounts.

• Escalate complex or sensitive cases promptly.

• Aim to decrease patient accounts receivable and enhance cash flow.

• Minimum of 2 years in college education.

• Must possess a backup power supply (extra laptop/power bank/generator/power station).

• Must have a backup internet connection (not mobile data).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
