This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and coordinate a team of billing professionals, which includes hiring, training, scheduling, and managing performance.
• Establish performance benchmarks and ensure sufficient staffing to achieve or surpass service objectives.
• Collaborate with local leadership to assess departmental performance and suggest corrective measures.
• Facilitate the preparation of monthly invoices and billing adjustments.
• Address billing inquiries and discrepancies using independent judgment.
• Create local billing processes, procedures, and policies that align with regional and corporate standards.
• Serve as a resource for complex or escalated billing inquiries and engage with customers to resolve issues.
• Analyze billing system reports and rectify discrepancies.
• Ensure that cash receipts are processed and accurately posted to customer accounts.
• Assist credit and collections, customer service, and operations teams with billing inquiries, training, and issue resolution.
• Prepare manual billings for non-routine, complex arrangements when necessary.
• Collect and summarize additional billing information to meet customer requirements.
• Carry out other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
• Proficient in MS Excel at an intermediate level.
• Capacity to interact and communicate professionally and collaboratively with regional, area, and division leadership teams, staff, and customers.
• Initiative to investigate and follow up on non-standard situations to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and train others to meet performance expectations.
• Capability to manage multiple projects and tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve goals and objectives.
• Skill in establishing processes and procedures for effective department workflow.
• Proficiency in tracking, measuring, and managing performance.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of billing transactions and processes.
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant billing experience at an increasingly responsible level.
• At least 1 year of experience supervising others or serving in a leadership role.
